| 05/09/2001 | Event Directors -- Bicycling & Mountain Bike Magazine SponsorshipBicycling and Mountain Bike Magazine have a sponsorship program that will help even directors to organize and promote their events by providing Tyvec numbers, plastic bags, or raffle prizes. The event will be listed in one of their magazines and on their website. In exchange for the sponsorship they are requesting a complete mailing list of the participants.
We would encourage event promoters to allow event registrants to choose whether or not they would like their information sent to Bicycling. These types of arrangements are not new and are becoming more popular with proliferation of email addresses. Junk mail stinks both online and offline.
