| 07/13/2005 | The six-time defending champ reclaimed the overall lead at the Tour de France after beginning the 10th stage in third place, two minutes and 18 seconds off the pace. Armstrong finished second in yesterday's 111-mile trek, the first Alpine stage of the event. Spain's Alejandro Valverde won the stage, with Armstrong crossing the finish line just off his back wheel. Mickael Rasmussen is second in the overall standings, 38 seconds off the lead. But Ivan Basso is considered Armstrong's main threat at this point of the race.
