| 05/14/2001 | Campagnolo: Goodbye to Daytona?Campagnolo may have to change the name of its Daytona groupset due to the conflict that could appear about trademarks.
It seems that the name "Daytona" is already owned by another company that may force Campagnolo to change the name of this line of products.
The Daytona group replaced Athena in 2000. The Daytona group has improved noticeable and sales for this group has risen during this time.
This is not the first time that the bicycle industry seems to have problems with American motor sport inspired denominations; Rock Shox had to change the name of their Indy fork line due to ownership conflicts too.
