| 05/31/2001 | Magura is Recalling 2001 Suspension ForksMagura is recalling all Rond-Magura suspension fork models O24u, 2-Stroke and the Quake series C, CP and Air (including the FIRM-tech models with integrated HS 33 rim brake) from the 2001 model year for a technical check at the Rond factory in the Netherlands. Magura has recognised that the connection between fork crown and stanchion tubes (upper legs) of the O24u and 2-Stroke and the connection between fork crown and steerer of the Quake models could cause a problem due to a potentially inappropriate gluing process. It cannot be excluded that the glue was applied unevenly which might cause in a worst case scenario an incorrect fitting of the respective parts.
Magura will do their utmost to ensure a quick and unbureaucratic handling of this recall. Concerned customers are kindly asked to visit the dealer where they bought the fork. The fork will be removed from the bike and sent via the national distributor to the manufacturer Rond in the Netherlands. Forks that have been bought via mailorder companies should be sent either to the Magura Service Centers (UK and France) or directly to the national distributor of the respective country.
They will ensure the utmost speed to repair the forks and guarantuee a 100% troublefree fork after the return.www.magura.com
