| 05/31/2001 | CABDA Closing Their DoorsThe CABDA Show and Association is closing its doors today, reported Bicycle Retailer. CABDA is an organization of specialty bicycle retailers that was founded in 1948. They were the producer of the longest running bicycle trade show in the United States. All remaining memberships will be transferred to the National Bicycle Dealer Association (NBDA).
CABDA's major revenue stream was from their annual bicycle trade show, held usually in August. Attendance from dealers and suppliers had been declining for the last few years. The only major suppliers that were planning to attend this years show was Shwinn/GT and Bianchi.www.cabda.com
