| 06/06/2001 | WTB LaserDisc Wheel SetsWTB has introduced a new line of wheels called the LaserDisc. The wheelsets use dual brake technology what WTB calls DBT. DBT rims are compatible with disc brakes or V-brakes. WTB has come up with another acronym for these new wheels, CID (Compatible Integrated Design) technology. CID components are compatible and easily replaceable with standard industry parts.
The LaserDisc wheels are available in two flavors: downhill and cross county specific. The DH are made to withstand the demands of professional racing. LaserDisc DH hubs are matched with 36mm rims. Double-butted 14/15g WTB black spokes with machined brass nipples are mounted on the 32 hole rims. Weight for the wheels is 1175 grams for the front and 1325 grams for the rear wheel.
