A Bike Friday Project Q tandem can be easily converted into a road-ready single bike and can still pack for travel. When packed into two optional hard-shell Travel Cases the tandem bikes can be checked into most major airlines as standard luggage. Upon arrival at your destination the bike can be quickly reassembled as a single or tandem bike.
Project Q tandems are available in both 406mm and 451mm wheel sizes. The narrower 451mm wheels provide superior road action, but limit tire width and selection. 406mm tires are available in a wide variety of widths and treads and can be found nearly anywhere bicycles are sold.
The Project Q bikes are available in two models: the Tour or the Tour Lite. Several component group options are available. Retails for $2395 to $3295.
