The claimed advantages of the larger wheels include: the ability to roll over obstacles more easily, larger contact path for better traction, longer wheelbase allows for faster descents, smoother feel, and excellent for tall riders.
They are also clear about the drawbacks from the larger wheeled bicycles: the wheels are heavier, less strong, slower to accelerate, slower climbing, not suited for small riders, limited tire and fork options, and they are more likely to go out of true.
If 29" is for you Seven Cycles may just have your new ride. The new 29" option is available on all Seven mountain models including: the Sola, Verve, and Teres and there is no extra cost for it.
