| 07/06/2001 | Hot Wheels Recalls Trailer Cycle HitchesHot Wheels is advising consumers who have bought the following child trailer cycles: 1200 Mongoosepro AC100, AC200, AC300, and Allycat to stop using them immediately as a precaution and request a replacement bracket. The steel hitches on these have shown signs of premature wear.
Russell Merry of Hot Wheels said: "We have already traced and replaced 250 of these brackets but are voluntarily recalling the balance as a precaution because we want to ensure the highest level of safety and satisfaction for the users."
The trailers concerned bear the brand name "Mongoosepro" or “Allycat” on the down-tube. The model number AC100, AC200 or AC300 is shown elsewhere on the Mongoosepro frame. They are available in red, blue, green, teal or black. |
