| 07/18/2001 | The Red Square Bike RideCycle over 100km through the Russian countryside taking time out to visit beautiful monasteries and places of historic importance, ending it all with a view of St Basil’s Cathedral in Red Square, next to the Kremlin. Cycling over gentle countryside, sometimes off road, you will encounter the road less travelled and see a different Russia to that of the Moscow metropolis.
With great entertainment and good company you will take part in the energetic last lap along the banks of the Moscow River to finish the event. Each participant will cover the cost of flights to Moscow. Once there, our generous sponsor, Jamilco, will cover all in-country costs. In addition we ask you to raise £1,000 or $1,500 (£500 or $750 – for children, suggested) for Downside Up’s education, training and health projects for children.
