| 07/24/2001 | 6000-KM European Cycle Route OpenedThe new North Sea Cycle Route is the world's longest signed internation cycle route with a distance of 6000 kilometres. The cycle route encircles the North Sea, passing through 7 countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Scotland and England.
The route will take you on an adventure as you explore coastal cities and villages, beaches and farms, lowlands and uplands, cliff paths and byways. The complete route is well marked with signs that will keep riders on target.
