| 08/17/2001 | Oregonian's Take the Bike Commute ChallengeThe Bicycle Transportation Alliance will award prizes to businesses in Oregon with the highest percentage of employees bicycling to work between September 1 and 30. If you have a long commute, you may be able to combine your bike trip with a transit ride. That counts as a bike trip! Or you may want to bike to a transit station, store your bike in a secure bike locker and read a book on the way to work. Many of the states transport agencies are participating by allowing bikes on buses.
