| 08/23/2001 | Kona/IMBA Pacific Northwest Mountain Bike Access SummitKona, the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and the Whatcom Independent Mountain Pedalers (WHIMPs) will present the Kona/IMBA Pacific Northwest Mountain Bike Access Summit August 31-September 3, 2001 at Kona headquarters in Bellingham, Washington.
The summit will offer sessions on trailbuilding, club organization, working with land managers, and other key skills to improve mountain bike trail access. The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew and IMBA advocacy staffers will be in Bellingham to offer instruction and advice to summit attendees.
Participants will also have ample opportunity to ride the outstanding network of mountain bike trails surrounding Bellingham, which was rated in the September 2001 issue of Outside magazine as one of the top ten outdoor cities in the United States.
