| 09/10/2001 | Support Specilized AIDS Rider and WinOver 15,000 people have ridden the California Aids ride. Each year over 3,000 riders takes to the streets of San Francisco and begine their 575 mile journey. The ride goes through Santa Cruz, Salinas, Santa Barabara, Ventura, and ends in Los Angeles.
This year Specialized rider Chris Waugh completed the ride and he has already signed up for 2002. To encourage donations Specialized will have a drawing for all those that contribute on behalf of Chris. A press release from Specialized stated: "At Specialized, we believe the bicycle is a tool to do great things. Events such as the AIDS ride draw passionate cyclists towards magnificent and meaningful goals."
A drawing will be held on November 12, 2001. The winner will receive: 4-day guided trip for two on the White Rim trail in Moab, Utah and $325 in travel vouchers.
