| 02/08/2001 | The Swiss authorities announced today that the works for building a road to tie together Léman Lake (Geneve) and the Blue Coast in France are close to the end in the Swiss part. The road will be for bicycle use only, and its lenght will be of 650 km. It will end in Séte or in Port Saint Louis du Rhone (it is not decided yet). It will be possible to do only one or some parts of the ride, and complete the travel by train or car. This proyect will cost 22 million dollars and will be financed by France and the European Union.The French part will be ready by 2005. |
