DT Enters the Rear Shock Market

10/22/2001
DT Swiss has expanded their product line once again with their new 100 % Swiss made SSd 210 rear shock. The shock has a low progression spring rate is achieved with variable volumes of the air chamber and allows up to 10% more available travel with the same built-in length. A fail-safe and maintenance free negative spring ensures a very sensitive reaction. A MCU Elastomer spring - no loss of pressure!

The adjustment of the negative spring works automatically adapted to the pressure of the main chamber. There is no additional valve necessary nor a bypass which can cause seal damages. The SSD 210 is the lightest comparable rear shock on the market (209 g without and 218 g with lockout, built-in length 165 mm) apart from being the most innovative one.

Ergonomically designed controls, easy to handle with gloves, and a logical arrangement of the functions (40 clicks for the rebound regulation, on/off for lockout) make the adjustment possible during the ride. The large air chamber allows an easy-to-inflate low air pressure. The ball joints in the shock mounts prevent lateral stress on the shock. Result: minimum wear!
Several 10-million-cycle tests close to reality illustrate the reliability. The SSd 210 shocks are very easy to service. Wear parts like seals and wipers of the air chamber can be changed at home without tools.
