| 10/23/2001 | John Crandall, of Old Town Bike Shop, and Lori Furstenberg have organized a "Peace Ride" for Saturday, October 27 in Colorado Springs. The ride is co-sponsored by the Colorado Springs Cycling Club.
The ride will be free and will start at Monument Valley Park just below the Fine Arts Center. Riders will ride the Monument Valley Trail out to Criterium Bicycles and then return to the starting site where presentations will be made. The initial plan is for the ride to start at 8:00 am with people rallying between 10:00 and 11:00, back at the start, for presentations.
There will be speakers and they should represent a balanced perspective for what has taken place and where we are headed. This is not intended to be an antimilitary event.www.bikesprings.com
