| 11/01/2001 | The Japan International Cycle Show 2001 will take place over three days beginning today Thursday, November 1st to Saturday and will run until November 3rd, 2001 at the Tokyo Big Sight (Ariake Messe). This years theme is "Bicycle: The Creator Of New Environment, Trend And Good-Health In The 21st Century".
Cycle Press, the show organizer, celebrates its 30th anniversary as a bicycle trade magazine publisher this year. In addition to the latest models of bicycles, bicycle parts, accessories and apparel from the world's leading brands, various new and exciting events and attractions are planned to support the show, joining such favorites as the popular Test Ride Corner, Fashion Show, Stamp Rally, Talk Show, Packed Parts Theme Zone, and Health Care Corner.
Bicycle and bicycle parts manufacturers, wholesalers, trading companies, retailers and media as well as bike enthusiasts worldwide are set to meet at the Tokyo show this year. Last year's show made a record attendance with a total of 91,174 visitors. Entering a new century, the bicycle industry is still experiencing a deep depression as demand stagnation continues and restructuring of social and corporate systems progresses. |
