| 11/12/2001 | Trek has a new service called Project One. Trek's Project One allows consumers to first choose which Trek OCLV roadframe is best for them, whether it be the 5200, 5500 or 5900. There are 14 paint schemes to choose from. Custom details can be added in the form of up to 18 characters on the top tube. Once the frame and paint are selected, the choice of what to hang on the frame comes next. Groupos include Shimano's Dura Ace and Ultegra, in both triple and double, and Campagnolo's Record or Centaur. Wheel choices include options from the new line of Bontrager road wheelsets, including the Race X-Lite Carbon. Finally, the choice of stem, bars, seatposts and saddles are all that remains. When you're done, print out the Order Sheet and take it to your nearest Trek dealer. After receiving your order -- your bike will be shipped within 30 days.projectone.trekbikes.com
