| 11/21/2001 | Chris King has taken the next step and is now offering complete wheel builds. The wheelsets are all built by hand one at a time by the staff at Chris King. They are built using their proven hubsets, mounted with standard spoke lengths. This makes it possible for any shop to be able to replace a broken spoke or a bent rim.
Light weight and cost are where two of the main goals that Chris King had for their wheelsets. If the wheels are too heavy, they won't ride all that well. If they are too expensive, you probably won't get them at all.
The Disc Wheelset is built using 32° Bontrager disc specific rims, Wheelsmith DB14 spokes (3X) and aluminum nipples laced up to their own ISO Disc Hubset. Weights Front: 793g Rear: 937g
The Classic Wheelset front wheel uses Bontrager Valiant 28° rim, Wheelsmith XL14 Spokes (2X) and aluminum nipples. Front Wheel Weight: 673g The rear wheel uses Bontrager Valiant Asym 32° rim, Wheelsmith XL14 Spokes (3X/2X) and aluminum nipples. Rear Wheel Weight: 868g
