Tour de France, saved by
a new sponsor

Luckily, Nestlé by its mineral water brand Aquarel,
will enter as one of the main Tour de France sponsors. After the withdraw
of Coca- Cola and the rumours announcing that Credit Lyonnais was thinking
about to leave “La Grande Boucle”, finding a new partner was a live or death
matter.
The Swiss company will invest 4 million dollars
in the next three years. This, in joint with Champion (Supermarkets) and
the great support of the Fiat Auto Group, with Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Lancia,
which provides all the vehicles the organization needs besides a great amount
of money, insures Tour de France continuity.
We welcome Nestlé and Aquarel to the cycling world, and we are sure this
investment will be profitable for the Swiss multinational.
