Interbike Gets in Gear for 2002

04/05/2002
Exhibit floor plan is well underway as organizers prepare to open attendee registration.

Interbike, the largest bicycle trade expo in North America, moves one step closer to show-time as organizers today announced that nearly 3/4 of the overall exhibit floor space has been reserved. The early exhibit reservations are due in part to Interbike's Renewal Sales Kit issued in November, yet show organizers anticipate another sold-out show as they begin the process of mailing the complete 2002 Interbike Sales Program this week.

"The Sales Program mailing is sure to fill the remainder of the expo's final floor space," said Lance Camisasca, Interbike Show Director. "We're excited with the 28 percent increase in booth reservations compared to the same time last year," Camisasca added.

The Interbike International Bicycle Expo typically occupies over 660,000 square feet of exhibit space in Las Vegas' Sands Convention Center and plays host to over 20,000 attendees from the bicycle industry.

"We've employed a lot of resources in an effort to make Interbike 2002 the best trade event for our industry. The new 3-day expo format is a direct result of attendee feedback and we'll continue to integrate programs that will enhance the show for those people exhibiting and those buying," commented Camisasca.

Inside the Interbike Sales Program exhibitors can find detailed show information regarding advertising and promotional opportunities, scheduling seminars, reserving meeting rooms, Annual Awards Dinner tickets, the Outdoor Demo, and more.

In other Interbike news, the organization recently re-launched it's website and will begin the registration process online in April and continue throughout the summer. Attendees will be able to use the updated on-line option, where one can register electronically or download and complete the registration form. Additionally, Interbike will again mail registration cards and insert them into the various trade publications as the summer months progress.

Held once a year, Interbike is North America's largest cycling trade show, attracting 20,000 attendees from around the world. Prior to the show, Interbike hosts a one-day Outdoor Demo allowing buyers and media a chance to test the latest in bikes and cycling equipment. Interbike is produced by VNU Expositions, a full service event management company. The next chance to see the future of the bicycle industry will be at the Sands Expo and Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, October 6-8, 2002. The Outdoor Demo will be held October 5th in Blue Diamond, Nevada.
