| 06/15/2002 | For the summer of 2002 Louis Garneau has introduced two new helmets, the Prologue and the T-Bone.
The Prologue is the only Time-Trial Helmet on the market that is certified CPSC. Cyclists and triathletes will be able to gain extra seconds without sacrificing safety during races in North America.
Louis Garneau will supply the Saturn Pro Cycling Team with this helmet. The Prologue is available with or without visor, in three colors : carbon/black, carbon/red and carbon/yellow.
The new "T-Bone" helmet is constructed with an outer U-shape frame. This polycarbonate miniature frame is bonded to a polystyrene foam to provide larger openings for maximal ventilation and to prevent shattering on impact. Because of this new technology, the “T-Bone" is the lightest helmet in the industry, in its category.
Another great feature of this helmet is its outer polycarbonate structure which is raised by 3mm. This elevation from the polystyrene frame allows a better distribution of energy upon impact.
Laboratory results show that this polycarbonate technological innovation offers an excellent energy absorption upon impacts.
