Ibis Designs Resurrected by John Castellano

01/02/2003
John Castellano has opened Castellano Designs the world headquarters for pivotless bicycle frame design, the Sweet Spot Suspension System, and other models that Ibis introduced just before they closed doors.

Formerly known as a Ripley, the aluminum softail will now be called the Castellano Designs Fango. The Fango uses the same Castellano-inspired Flat-Plate Chainstays and Critically Damped Elastomer straight off some of Ibis' best sellers. As it was then and still is now, the Fango is the only softail frame that is made completely out of aluminum.

There are many more of Castellano’s designs in the pipeline, including resurrection of the bikes formerly known as SilkTi and BowTi, two of the most revered suspension bikes ever made. Soon they will see the trail again under Castellano’s own brand.

Castellano Designs will supply replacement parts for current owners of Ibis bicycles. For more information contact Castellano Designs at (800) 227-8355.
