About the Speakers:

The Corps of ReDiscovery
Last summer, one year before the national Bicentennial celebration of the Lewis and Clark "Corps of Discovery" expedition, six Santa Barbara Middle Schoolers, two teachers and a young filmmaker rode their bicycles 5,000 miles across America in 120 days. The expedition, "The Corps of ReDiscovery," traced the path of Lewis and Clark's cross-country trek from Washington, DC to the Pacific. Without support vehicles or pre-arranged lodging, The Corps of ReDiscovery explorers depended on their wits, the gear in their packs and the "kindness of strangers". The members of the Corps of ReDiscovery will share their incredible experience. Main Stage: Friday, 5:30pm; Saturday, 12:15pm, 3:15pm; Sunday, 12:45pm, 3:00pm

Joe Kurmaskie, The Metal Cowboy
Find out what happens when the Metal Cowboy is hit by the smallest car in Ireland, "kidnapped" by a bounty hunter at a Mayan Ruin, pedals from Dublin to Donegal in pursuit of the All Girls Bagpipe Squad and suffers a special sort of sunburn at a nudist colony wedding down under. Joe will be performing new stories from his next book, Riding Outside the Lines: International Incidents And Other Misadventures With The Metal Cowboy, cracking wise jokes, answering questions, offering suspect advice and signing crisp copies of the paperback release of his first book Metal Cowboy.
