| 04/11/2001 | New Bikes Announced from Bianchi
Bianchi has released information on their four new bicycle
models that are avaialble now.
The Talladega uses a Reynolds 631 lightweight steel alloy frame with a Bianchi
carbon fork. The unmistakable light and lively ride of steel with the proven
Shimano Ultegra 27-speed group. Quick acceleration and handling with Shimano's
new R-535 wheelset, with 16-spoke front and rear profile rims. Style points
for DEDA bar and DEDA AheadSet stem, Vittoria tires and clipless pedals.
This new ride will take you up any climb, and long hours in the saddle will
be a breeze with the smooth and comfortable ride of the Reynolds steel frame.
The Strada has matched Bianchi's steel road frame
with flat bars and a SRAM 27-speed drivetrain. The range of gears allows
you to go anywhere and always have the right gear. Tire clearance is excellent
on the Strada and because the bike uses Avid cantilever brakes, it allows
wider tires and fenders to be easily mounted to the frame. The forged, adjustable
stem allows for any handlebar position. Vittoria tires, bar ends and and
clipless pedals complete the package.
The Mondiale is a hybrid bike that uses the new
Shimano Nexave C900 group. The bike has been built around the new group
from Shimano. The most unique part of this groupo is the front derailleur
that utilizes the power of the crank to shift the front derailleur. The
sophisticated group, with flange-less hubs, is mated with our light Bianchi
alloy hybird frame. The 18-speed drivetrain is wide enough for any terrain,
due to the smart selection of chainring and cassette cog sizes. Carbon fiber
style saddle (with LED red tail light) and grips complement the alloy seat
post and alloy bars.
The new Denaili is the new mountain bike from
Bianchi. It is fast, light and orange. The dialed-in geometry and Easton
UltraLite tubing give the new Denali frame impeccable mountain manners.
The Marzocchi Z3 Bomber air/oil fork, with 80mm travel and alloy steerer
give the bike a very plush front end. Shimano LX RapidFire shifters and
derailleurs are the reference standard. WTB NanoRaptor tires and Speed-V
Comp SL saddle with Titec stem and seat post.
