| 05/07/2003 | Bike-Eu.com has announced that the Taipei International Auto/Motorcycle Parts and Accessories Show (AMPA), originally set to take place in Taipei in late May, has been cancelled due to Asia's mounting SARS epidemic.
The show's organizers at the China External Trade Development Council (CETRA) said in a press release that the decision was made "after a detailed review of all factors, including fears that increased travel restrictions would negatively influence buyer turn out". Recent Taipei Trade Shows have seen overseas attendance drop by as much as two-thirds, and Taiwan's most important Trade Show, Computex, has been postponed until the fall. The next AMPA is scheduled to take place May 24-27, 2004.www.bike-eu.com
