| 04/11/2001 | Control Tech Smart StemsControl Tech's new Smart Stems are manufactured from heat treated 6061 aluminum. It uses a forged 2-pc handlebar clamp that allows the handlebar to be quickly removed. The angle is reverseable with either a +/- 5 or +/- 15 degree rises. The stem is avaliable in 7 lengths from 80mm to 140mm lengths. It is available in either silver or black anodized finishes.
The redesigned faceplate accommodates both mountain and road (25.4 and 26.0mm) handlebars. The provided shim is needed for 1" steer tubes. Helicoiled stainless steel inserts prevent stripped bar clamps and knurled stainless steel inserts prevent stripped steer clamps. 172g for 120mm.
