XTR has been a success at all levels since it was born in 1991. This third generation of Shimano’s most successful group ever, set completely new standards to the MTB scene with its birth last year.
New XT targets Cross Country and high-end trekking bikes. And just one year after XTR, it will be featuring all this new technologies in a brand new edition. That means XT will also be featuring HOLLOWTECH II front chainwheel technology, Dual Control shifting system and new disc brakes, featuring monobody disc brake calipers and center lock assembly system. V-brakes will be also available, although weight reduction in comparison with the new disc brakes is minimum.
