| 07/16/2003 | Last year, Pieter de Hart (NL) realised an one hour World record cycling, with 26,948 k. In May 2003 his record was improved: 29,1 k. is now the distance to beat.
That recordholder must be Chris Boardman (UK)! With -indoor- 49,441 k., already since October 27, 2000!?
Both right. Chris, however, was sitting on the saddle while he was bicycling. And Pieter? He was sitting on his... handlebars. He is worlds first Backwards one hour World recordholder! And, he wants to become it in 2003 for the third time.
The exercycling for new records is going on since. This year Pieter plans pushing his limits and pass the impossible: he is thinking of an average of more than 30 k. in sixty minutes!
So, the record wheels start rolling again. This Summer the World record attempt will take place in: Millbrook (Bedfordshire), United Kingdom. On the 2 mile Oval, the High/Constant Speed Circuit, of the Millbrook Proving Ground (http://www.millbrook.co.uk). www.kelimutu.com
