| 06/28/2004 | Slingshot Bicycle Company will now be specifying Easy Split cable separators on all of their folding bikes. The new components will allow for a cleaner and more efficient breakdown of their bikes for travel.
The Easy Splits, manufactured by industry leader, DaVinci Designs, will provide many key advantages to Slingshot owners. Most notably, the Easy Splits will allow for the bike to be broken down for travel without damage to the brake and derailure cables. And they will also allow the bike to be broken down into two complete halves — allowing for a smaller, more compact travel bike.
The new components are part of Slingshot’s new Fold-Tech System that also includes a travel bag, folding instructional DVD, and a quick release folding strap for the installation and removal of the bike’s cable downtube.
