Shimano introduces three new hub dynamos, especially developed for sports use like mountain biking, road racing and Trekking. Main challenge in the development was upon further lowering the rotation resistance and the result is amazing: They have a 40 % lower rotation friction than the current models (DH-3D70, DH- 3N70 and DH-2N70) and even 75 % less resistance than previous models when the lamp is turned off!
With the use of these Sports Hub Dynamos you will never have to cope with empty and weakening batteries again. So much easier and safer, you will be able to focus entirely on your ride.
The following three models will be available: DH-3D71 is a 6V / 3.0W Sports Hub Dynamo with Center Lock mount system for disc brake compatibility. DH-3N71 is basically the same Sports Hub Dynamo but without Center Lock mount and DH-2N71 is a 6V / 2.4W hub dynamo also without disc brake compatibility.
These hub dynamos have been developed with a double contact seal mechanism to further increase durability and performance. Besides this, they are being provided with (Ultegra level) super polished bearing races for extra smooth turning. These Sports Hub Dynamos will be available in 32 and 36 spoke hole versions and they are all being provided with a quick release.
