![]() InStep Quick N' EZ Bike Trailer By: InStep Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 61 More Information Very pleased... ...with the trailer and the kids love it. Quiet, easy to assemble [in fact, it comes almost assembled], and affordable compared to many others that I looked at before purchasing. great deal all the way around. FABULOUS! We purchased this trailer for our not-quite 2 year old granddaughters visit to Florida. My husband is an avid bike rider and was slightly skeptical about this product being so inexpensive. But when he opened the box and put it carrier together in a matter of minutes, he was more than shocked at this products sturdiness. It folds up very easily for storage and my granddaughter LOVED it! The seat belts are both shoulder and lap and it will seat 2 kids without a problem. Some of the more expensive products like this have padded seats but you really dont need that. It attached to the bike wheel hub in a flash. This is a great deal! Grandson Loves it! Great little trailer! My grandson loves it! Had to modify it slightly to fit on my trike, but it works great! THIS TRAILER IS DANGEROUS, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY! IF YOU OWN THIS TRAILER, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY!!!! THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS!!! After one year of very little use the trailer is now just garbage. All of the gray nylon straps on this thing are now so weak that you can rip them in half with very little effort. These straps are the ones used to hold up the seat, and more importantly they are the straps used as seat belts. Today when I was buckling the seat belt on my two year old, the belt just pulled right off of the seat. So I decided to check the other straps and I found that I was able to easily rip every single seat belt off of the stroller with almost no force at all. I am glad that I noticed or I would have been putting my child in serious danger! For anyone that has this trailer STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY AND THROW IT AWAY. THIS IS NOT SAFE FOR YOUR CHILDREN. If you are thinking of buying this thing DONT! Good item but pay 2 bucks more to get different one The product was good. Good design and easy to install. But the pictures for this product were misleading as one of the picture showed this trailer as stroller. I should have read the description well before buying it. But there is another product form InStep which turns the trailer into stroller, which we actually ended up getting. This is worth the money and kids really liked it. Easily fits two one samll and one big. Cannot put two big kids in this one because of space issues. Be careful when riding the bike not to step over a protuding rock as the base is not hardshell but a soft polymer (mattie) like material so can hurt the kids and can wear out after some period. Overall a good workout and fun with kids. Good for mom and twins I overall liked this trailer. This is the first one Ive ever bought so I dont have anything to compare it with but so far my 2 1/2 year old twin boys love it. I havent had any problems with rubbing underneath the feet area like others had reported. Like others...the only minor complaint is the seatbelt system but its manageable just a little annoying...nothing to fret over. Besides...what a great deal on a trailer. We are moving to a place with less hills in a few weeks which will make the ride all the more comfortable for the biker:) I would definitely recommend this trailer! For slow speeds only I would suggest purchasing this trailer only if you intend to ride at speeds under 10 miles an hour. I purchased this trailer with the intention of hauling groceries and/or the dog, so I cant comment on the kid-friendly features, but I can say that it is best to keep it slow while riding with this trailer. Great for the dog though. Can go with mommy!! I love this bike trailer! I can take my two year old with me and get a great workout!! The quick release attachment to the bike is so easy. I didnt need my husbands mechanical ability to place it on the bike!! What a fun and quality time with my kids! I bought this trailer and did not use it until 8 months later. The trailer arrived quickly. It was a very easy and quick set up. It came with everything I need. I took my 4-year old and a 17 month old for a ride and they love it. It was smooth and easy ride for me too. This is also a chance for me to exercise and spend quality time with my children. I highly recommend this trailer. Review We are very pleased with our purchase. I was shocked at how quickly everything set up without any tools! It truly does fold up to be about 6 inches flat. A few suggestions: It is helpful to add some material around the shoulder straps for the younger/shorter children so that it doesnt rub against their necks. If your children arent in diapers, I would recommend adding some padding on the leg portion of the harness. I also reinforced some of the stitching around the crotch strap. These are smaller things that I have found to be the same on more expensive trailors. I would purchase this again without a second thought! Review We are very pleased with our purchase. It is well made and easy to put together. Also, it is easy to pull behind a bicycle. Dont waste your money on expensive models. This one is all youll need. Great Buy!!, When searching for a bike trailer for my two boys 3 1\\2 and 2 years old , I read tons of reviews, including the ones found here. I then decided to go with this trailer and I am very impressed! The set-up was fast and easy, I was very pleased! It is extremely secure and durable, folds up very nicely to transport. My boys love it. Excellent product!! we love it !! This product is excellent and very easy to assemble. We got it for my 2 year old daughter as a Christmas present so we could enjoy bike rides as a family. She loves riding on it!! today was the first day we tried it on rain and I got all wet and my daughter was completely dry.... I totally recommend it!!! InStep Quick N' EZ Bike Trailer My daughter loves this trailer! It was easy to set up and attach to my husbands bike. Goes easy on pavement or on a trail. Plenty of room for her and for drinks and snacks. Our family is realy enjoying this product. InStep Quick N'EZ Bike Trailer is a hit! After two weeks of use, this product is a huge hit with our family. It arrived quickly, the setup was straightforward, and it has performed as expected. Two year old loves it I was concerned about whether my two year-old would like a bike trailer, as she does not always care to be in a stroller. But when I assembled this product one day after work, she did not let me stop until it was done. She made me put it together without reading the instructions and take her for a ride. Reading the instructions just slows you down. I put this trailer together and attached it to my bike in a few minutes. Truthfully, there is nothing to be put together, it mostly folds open and closes. I paid $80 for this at Target and could not be more pleased. My kid refused to get out in order to go inside when it was bedtime. I shudder to think about spending the big bucks for a more expensive trailer, especially considering a child is riding on their own bike in a few years. affordable, lightweight, smooth ride bike trailer This trailer is ideal for folks who want to be green consious and cutback on those car trip with the kids. The trailer is great for daytime road use with one or two toddlers. As a mom looking for arobic activity and affordable family past times, this product fits the bill. I can pack the kids up and ride to the local park. I burn calories on the bike, the kids get the fresh air and exercise at the park. The five point restraint systems is a bit hard to clip each time the kids get in and out of the trailer, but for $100.00 it was well worth the expense. Smart design and easy use by: Anonymous On: 2007-01-30 I love this product! We have fun biking with my son. Smart design and easy use I love this product! We have fun biking with my son. Quick N EZ is just that! I bought this to help my partner and I with grocery shopping, since we only have bikes. I was amazed at how easy it was to put together. I had it put together ten minutes after I opened the box. It is light enough that I dont really feel it while it is empty, and it holds two weeks worth of groceries! Amazing product! Very Easy and Lots of fun! My wife and I love this product. It was so easy to assemble and our son loves it. It just works What I like: > Light > Easy to set up / Easy to break down > Quality build, very sturdy > Very smooth behind the bike > The kids absolutely love riding in it What could be better: > A solid floor Summary: Typically you get what you pay for. In this case I think you get a lot more than you pay for. Great product for a great price. Best Bang for Your Buck I researched several bike trailers and purchased the InStep Quick N EZ Trailer based on other reviews. Barely feel the trailer when biking. Easy step by step assembly. Sturdy and safe I love this easy to assemble bike trailer. It was sturdier than expected and should provide many hours of rides on the trails with my little ones. Great Trailer & Great Buy!! Easy to put together and easy to store. You can also purchase a Stroller Conversion Kit for $30 from the manufacturer to make it into a stroller. I plan on doing that as well. I am planning ordering an extra coupler kit so my husband can hitch the trailer to his bike as well! What a neat idea. Spacious and well built! Quick N' EZ --A great product We think this product is great and works very well. My husband has a fancy mountain bike and it easily attaches to it. The kids are safe and happy inside with safety straps and room for their drinks and snacks. No complaints! Lightweight & Easy To Use I bike my daughter to school 5 days a week, 5 miles total every day, and this bike trailer does the job. Its lightweight, easy to switch from one bike to another. We ordered another coupler from the company (call the 800 number in the manual) for my husbands bike. This is a great buy for the money. GREAT trailer I got this as a gift and i love it. It was SUPER easy to put together and it seems very sturdy. The wheels just lock into place and release with the click of a button. I would recommend this to anyone! Apprehensive purchase, total success I too was wary about buying a bike trailer...was it safe?...could people really see it behind the bike?..could the bike trailor detach from the bike?...this was all before I actually had a very active two year old. The bike trailer is relatively easy to assemble, and once youve put it on the bike initially, very easy to take on and off the bike. The flag makes it so no one can miss seeing the bike trailer. Plus my daughter loves it and so do her little friends. Its also nice to be able to throw a snack, book or other activity into the trailer for longer bike rides and the added resistance really can really make a quick bike ride a nice tough work-out. Cruizzzzzen with The Kiddies I was quite apprehensive about purchasing this bike trailer at first, mainly due to how inexpensive it was compared to the others on the market. I was afraid that quality would have been skimped on to keep the price down. That could not be further from the truth though. It is a solid trailer made from quality parts that is easy to assemble and the kids dont want to get out of it. We have a 2 & 3 year old, who absolutely love going for rides through the park. They have been on up to 12 mile journeys in the trailer and dont want to stop. I highly recommend the ez-trailor. My only other recommendation is that you can purchase an extra quick connect to put on another bike for about $7 if you use more then one bike We love this trailer! We had been wanting one of these for some time, and Amazon had a large selection and great prices. This one works great, and our two boys just love it. It easy easy to attach, easy to assemble all the attachments, and it rolls behind your bike like there is nothing there. The construction is good and as with one review I based nearly my entire decision on, the bottom (where their feet go) is not a solid base so we have to make sure the kids dont stand in it when they climb in. We dont get to use it as much as we like, but it says it can take 2 kids up to 50 lbs each, so we have several more years to use it. Now what do we do with the 3rd kiddo on the way? LOL! Very smooth - great exercise with your kids! I just took my 2 year old on a 4 mile bike ride just minutes after buying it. My husband put it together very quickly and then after my daughter fussed and cried about going inside we were off! She was a bit unsure during the first few minutes but then immediately started saying more! She loved it! I cant wait to use this again this weekend. I have a 6 month old as well and once shes ready to use it I cant wait to take the two them on bike rides. Its a great way to spend time together and its very safe. Also, you really DONT feel the weight of the trailer or the child (unless the hill is really steep!). My two year old won't get out! The trailer is really easy to set up - five minutes if you have a quick release for the back wheel of the host bike. The ride is pleasant (meaning very smooth) for both the parent and child. Like others have mentioned, the toddler loves their personal space. Plenty of "whees" when we coast down hills. I envision after my toddler out grows the trailer that I can use it for running errands. This is a non-brainer purchase. My two year old won't get out! The trailer took all of 5 minutes to assemble and we were off riding like lightning through the neighborhood. My 3 year old son had so much fun. We will be riding as much as we can this year through the neighborhood, fun times at the park, and on trails. We love that our sons friends can ride along. We love the extra storage in the back that we can use for swim towels, small cooler, bags, etc. and the pouches on the side for our childs drinks, snacks, or small toys. We also love the wind/rain guard for protection if you get caught in unexpected weather. This was a great buy and even if it lasts a couple of years...GREAT MEMORIES will be made!!! Quick N EZ Trailer Great versatile bike trailer. Easy hook up, break down, and min. assembly. Only wish I would have got the same trailer with the walker attachments. Baby is 10 months and likes riding and often falls asleep during rides. Excellent Ride for my 2 year old Very easy to install. I like the smooth ride and the handling. It doesnt bog down the bike. Look out going up hill though; you need strong legs. I highly recommend this product. You cant beat the price. Really is quick and easy! I got this trailer and had it hooked up to my bike in no time flat. It is so easy, you almost dont need the directions...(I had to peek once or twice). I fit both my 5 year old son as well as my 7 month old daugher in the trailer and they had a blast riding around the neighborhood. Looking forward to hitting the bike trail with it this fall. I am surprised it doesnt cost more! You won't even know its there! Assembles easily and very quickly, folds up compactly. Seems well built. It is easy to attach to the bicycle, and took no getting used to. Even with the kids in it, I hardly notice a difference riding the streets in the neighborhood with this trailer attached. Very nice. Excellent trailer!!! With 2 year old twins its hard getting out unless you want to drive everywhere. Problem solved! This trailer has been sold out for months but we managed to snag one and love it! Very easy to assemble (no tools) and truly does as claims - it folds compactly in a matter of minutes for storage. In fact, I have a large storage bag from Kelty for my double jogger and both the stroller and the trailer (with all wheels) fit in the bag for on the go. They truly thought of everything - you can fold the extension bar under the stroller and it pins into place with a locking pin - its attached permanently to the trailer so no lost parts! SWEET! We recently brought this camping for a week and cleaning off the dust and dirt was a breeze - a damp cloth took care of all of it within minutes. The sling seat fits 2 toddlers comfortably (my kids weigh 26 and 30lbs) - no he/shes touching me! The yellow cover snaps on all the way around for easy removal and access. Behind the kids there is a small storage area - plently of room for a diaper bag and snacks. I frequently go shopping with just my bike and trailer and have plently of room. The trailer connects to the bike with a special "quick connect" coupler. One is included with the trailer. In the back page of the manual is an order form where you can order more (we are ordering one today for dhs new bike). It would have been nice if they would have included two. The only other complaint I have about the coupler is its position on the bike - I had to remove my kickstand permanently in order to attach the trailer - major bummer but well worth the trade-off of having the trailer vs without. Overall, this product is excellent. Well-made and quite affordable! HIGHLY recommended! Quick`n Ez Fun Fun We just bought this trailer this past weekend and I have to say it is so fun and very easy to ride with it attached to your bike. It took my husband just a couple of minutes and it was ready to go! So far we have not had any problems with it. It has a great storage area for drinks and snacks behind the seat in back. It is very roomy for my 2 year old and though two children can sit in it he likes to sit in the middle. The only downer is that it doesnt come with an extra coupler for my husbands bike so we had to search for one.It would be nice if they had accessories for this available at the retailers that sell it. Also, if you go through a water puddle the back wheel on the bike will kick up water on to the trailer and I can see that being a problem if there was a lot of water you happened to ride through but, it also has a clear cover that comes down over the mesh screen if you were riding and it started to rain to cover the child and I dont see how water or dirt can get in to do that. It would be nice if they made the bottom blue part come up a bit higher to avoid that in summer time. As it would be to hot for the child to have the clear cover over it at all times. The only other thing that would be nice is for the seat to lay back just slightly in case the child falls asleep. Other than those things I think it is great and my son LOVES riding in it! I think it is a good buy and could be a 5 star if they fixed those 3 things. Excellent product We were looking for a bike trailer and didnt want to spend huge amounts of bucks. This is a reasonably priced unit that is pretty well-made. The trailer includes a five-point safety harness, room for two kids and pouches on the sides for sippy cups, sunscreen, etc. A screen comes down in the front to protect from bugs, etc. and another rain shield can also be velcroed into place. The same mesh screening is also on the back to allow for air ventilation. The unit was relatively easy to put together and requires no tools. Wheels are super easy to put on and take off for transport and the unit is amazingly collapsible for travel. The unit is made of relatively sturdy nylon to hold up to rain and wear and bright yellow for visibility. Wheels are big enough to hold up to bumps and dips without being uncomfortable for the kids. A spring mechanism in the arm that attaches the unit to your bike allows for greater movement, especially when turning. While you dont want to turn too sharply, I thought it could handle corners pretty well. Pros: Sturdy construction and material. Fairly comfortable ride and my son seems to love it now (he initially screamed like crazy when we put him in it). Room for toys to keep them entertained. Excellent value. Extra hardware can be purchased through the manufacturers website for a small amount. Might be handy to have around if you have more than one bike and want to take turns carrying the kids. Great to haul stuff other than children. LOL Cons: The pin that fastens the unit to the bike was kind of tight. Be careful to avoid pinched fingers. One of the snaps came off on our unit shortly after purchase. Not a big deal though and is not essential to closing the top. Because the interior is black, I sometimes think it makes my son get hot, even when were moving. This could be the nature of the fabric (nylon), though, which is not very breathable. There is only one small reflector on the back of the trailer. I went to the hardware store and for a few bucks added big stick-on reflectors. Problem solved. Needs a shield or something to keep the sun off the kids. If you cant make one yourself, just lather them up with suncreen. While the unit alone weighs around 25 pounds, extra cargo is going to add a lot of drag on the bike. But this is my fault for buying a one-speed cruiser. LOL Makes for a good workout, though! Bottom line: excellent product for the money. It really is Quick N EZ! Great product! After buying the 1-2-3 Child Carrier by Fisher Price and being very dissatisfied, we decided to purchase this bike trailer instead. It took less than 15 minutes to install, and we have been very pleased with it so far. It is very sturdy and well-made. The product is made of a nylon fabric that appears to be very durable. It is very easy to pull. My 16 month old daughter seemed to enjoy herself except for the fact that she cant comfortably wear her bicycle helmet in the seat. It pushes her head and neck forward. I am going to try to remedy this problem by placing some towels behind her back which will create a little more space between her and the back of the seat. This will hopefully allow more room for the bulky helmet. Overall, we are very happy with this product! Love it I had been wanting to buy something for my 2 yr old daughter that she could ride in when me and her sister go riding. Well, I found it. This Quick n Easy trailer. She absolutely loves to ride in it. Some of the other reviews said that its easy to assemble, well it is (took my husband a whole 10 mins). And its also pretty light weight. Theres enough room in it for a couple small children. If you are looking for something like this, this is a good one to consider. Quick N EZ - Best Buy March 25th, 2005 I am an avid cyclist who needed to maximize my time in the saddle by including my son on my rides. I searched all the brands from Wike on down to the Schwinns and Insteps. I am a big believer in the right equipment for the job. Value: This trailer, although it may not last forever, should last a long time and is well worth the money spent; $[...]at Target. Especially compared to trailers at $[...]and up. Bottom line is how much do you bike, and how frequently will you use the trailer? Durability: I used it for the second half of last season (2004) and it still looks new and has little wear. I put approximately 1000 miles on it so far. On days where my son is not with me I load it up with approx. 65lbs of weight (50lb bag of charcoal and a case of Poland Spring water)and use it as a trainer. This weight approximates two small children and it holds up just fine. Fun Factor; My son loves going out on rides with me. It has a small pouch/cup holder sewn on each side of the interior, great for a sippy cup and a bag of snacks. It also has a trunk of sorts in the back. A flap that has snaps all around the perimeter of the rear, big enough to put an extra change of clothes and picnic things, or sand toys if you are visiting a playground on your journey. Safety; It comes with a basic small reflector on the bottom left of the rear. My opinion is this is not visible enough, get yourself a blinking reflector type light, approx. $10-15 in any bike shop. Mounting it may be a bit tricky, I cut the fabric at the bottom and clamped it on to the frame. It also comes with that neon orange flag, which can be spotted a mile away. And the base colors of blue and yellow stand out pretty good too. The harness,/hinge is a spring (with a safety cable through the center of the spring) that flexes, if you lay the bike down the trailer stays upright. The spring also flexes when you are riding to absorb some of the shifting of weight when your little guys move around back there, making it more comfortable than solid connections. Pros: 1) Price, $[...], you cant beat the price/value anywhere. 2) Quite, Im used to a bike that makes no noise, and this did not let me down. 3) Bright colored fabric, help you to be seen, along with the neon orange flag. 4) Your own personal cheering team to "Go faster Daddy", and you really cant beat that! Cons: 1) Floor is made from same fabric as the main compartment, this might be the first failure in the unit as my son gets bigger and heavier. Some more expensive models use a plastic tray as a base. 2) Needs a better light in the rear. 3) Once you get your child one of these , you will not be able to go for a solo ride anymore without dealing with tears and pleads to go "ridin" too. One very important recommendation, after you install your hardware and hook up the trailer, do yourself and your child a favor and put something heavier than your child in the back. Then ride it for a good long ride. Do a few panic stops, brake on corners, get used to the weight back there, it is very different than what you are used to without it. Dont learn while your little Man or Lady is back there. Be safe and ride till your legs fall off. Dave *-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- Update 09/30/05 This past season 2005 I started riding with my two and a half year old daughter as well. It is a little tight at times. My son (4.5yrs) tends to elbow her in the face. Because the bottom is made out of fabric, they have a tendancy to fall into one another at the center(like an old mattress). This is not a problem when there is only one child of course, but two is a little uncomfortable. I have purchased the newer Instep with a plastic bottom to prevent this. I wont actually use it until next season; 2006, I will post on that when I have some experience with it. If you only have one child, or two about the same size, this still gets high marks from me. Also, the tubes in this do not hold air indefinitely. You do need to check on the PSI once in a while, you will roll much easier if you have the right air pressure, unless of course you want that workout. Safe riding! We live in an area where we can bike to pretty much everyting, and we were a little concerned about using a traditional child "seat" on our bikes. This trailer has turned out to be a fantastic addition, well worth the money. We have had our son in it since he was 7 1/2 months old (he is now 18 mos) and we have used it to bike to breakfast, to the store, etc. There is plenty of storage room in the back, and the shield is great for misty/windy days. I wouldnt recommend using it with infants unable to hold themselves up well, as the harness is not that strong, but once they can sit up without support the trailer is great! We have no worries about our son toppling out in case we were to fall (which has happened, and the trailer stays upright), either. Enjoy it! Excellent Buy! by: Anonymous On: 2004-09-14 My dh and I have been researching the different types and brands of infant/toddler bike trailers out there for several months. All along I kept looking at this Instep Quick n EZ trailer and thinking it was the best out there. Not only did I find it to constantly receive high marks on quality, but I also found it to be quite inexpensive. Not cheap and shotty, just not nearly as expensive as some of the other makes and models. After all our research, we decided on this trailer, and so my dd received it for her 1st birthday a couple of weeks ago. And let me tell you, we have NOT been disappointed with our choice. The trailer is very well made, extremely easy to put together/take apart, a cinch to attach, and even easier to pull. There is plenty of room in the trailer for us to stash our daughters bottles, a diaper and wipes (incase she needs a change), and couple of toys for her to play with along the way. The 5pt harness is a breeze to work and leaves no question as to weather baby is in securely or not. This is definately a great trailer to own!! We give it 2 Thumbs Up and 5 stars across the board! :D Quality and value Although I didnt find this on sale it is still a good deal for regular price. Set up is an absolute breeze. Even attaching the coupler to my bike, after some muscle from hubby to get the nut off, was simple and quick. I feel very confident of the hitch as I ride and the kids are secure in the harness. It folds easily and the wheels detach simply to fit in the cargo space of our mid-size SUV. Im a recreational/fitness biker and use this on very nice paved trails not off-road so I cant comment on bumps or dirt. It gets a 4 rather than a 5 only on some comfort issues. The web straps would be better if padded. I have to watch the crotch strap on my 20 month-old or it can ride up and cut into her leg, particularly if she has a big wet diaper. Same with my 4 year old with the shoulder strap and his neck. Ill figure something out though. Also if it is going to be made to hold up to 100 pounds it really could be just a couple of inches wider to give room to bigger kids. Two kids are sort of smushed. The sling seats also could be made to recline. I had a jogging stoller with that feature. Lastly, since I live in FL, I would prefer a longer hood or some sort of brim for more shade. Having complained, I WOULD STILL RECOMMEND HIGHLY for quality and value and fun. The kids do enjoy it despite my nit-picking! Great for the money by: Anonymous On: 2004-07-15 My 10 month old son loves this trailer. It is very light and was very easy even for me to put together. The only problem we find is that the rear tire of the bike throws up rocks and dirt through the netting. Gets kinda dirty in there!! Otherwise a great buy though. A very cool toy! Before buying a trailer for my 2 year old daughter, I searched high and low and read tons of reviews, including the ones found here. I then decided to go with this trailer and I am very pleased!!! It was so super fast and easy to set-up I was amazed! It is extremley secure and durable, folds up very nicely to fit into my trunk and it manages very smoothly behind my bike. My daughter LOVES IT, she even fell asleep in it last time I took her for a ride! The only reason why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is because it would be nicer if it had a more comfortable area for the legs and feet and more leg room as well. \\ All in all, its is a super buy for the price!! Great For Twins I have twin 2 year olds and a nine year old. My oldest always wanted to go biking but I couldnt take the twins. Now that we have the bike trailer we have fun as a whole family riding around the neighborhood. We live on a busy highway we have to travel about a 1/4 mile to get on back roads. I feel very safe with the trailer since it is bright colors, has a reflector and a flag. We also recently took it camping. It was great to bike to the pool, etc. with them. I highly recommend it. Good value for the money by: Anonymous On: 2004-06-17 I have had this trailer for going on 2 years now. I use it now with 2 kids (a 3 year old and a 1 year old) in it. There is plenty of room for both of them. They love it. It has the wind shield to block out dirt, bugs, etc. My only complaint is that when the baby falls asleep, his head falls forward as there is no way to recline the seats at all. Compact Storage by: Anonymous On: 2004-06-12 Pros: 1. Lightweight 2. Affordable (but compare prices carefully) 3. Compact (ours hangs on hooks flat against the garage wall) Cons: 1. Found it cheaper elsewhere after purchased from Target 2. Careless manufacturing (had to drill the pin hole bigger and sand the arm hinge down because they sprayed too much paint on the frame) 3. The safely flag pole was cracked when we opened the box 4. A lot of sand/gravel gets kicked up into the trailer through the screen. It gets all over our daughter, including in her hair. I worry about it getting in her eyes. 5. You have to special order a second coupler kit, they arent available in stores. Compact Storage Pros: 1. Lightweight 2. It is still in the same condition as when we bought it. Even though she is heavier now I still do not have a problem handling my bike with her in the trailer. She loves to pack a lunch and take a ride to the park in it. Worth every penny. This trailer is the BEST! My 18 month old daughter loves to ride in it. She loves to throw in a couple of stuffed animals, a book and her sippie cup whenever we go out. We get so many comments on it. Everyone loves it. It was so easy to assemble. I had it done the first time in less than 10 minutes. This was the best purchase we have made so far. I feel safe with her in it since the trailer does not tip over if you happen to fall off the bike. Why Spend More? It's Great! by: Anonymous On: 2004-05-15 I have seen other trailers for insanely high rates. I have a 2 and 3 year old and they love to ride in this trailer. It is so light and easy to disconnect and reconnect to my bike. It has a combined weight for 2 children at 100lbs which is actually more than most others, but we still purchased two (one for each). I do ride them both occasionally, but they are really smashed in there and I prefer not to do that so thats something to keep in mind. Also, I do have to fiddle with the seat belt adjustment every time we ride, but thats not really such a hassle that Id complain. Just keep in mind that you really dont want to go over bumps in this! Overall, it is really great and I bet those expensive trailers are no better. *comes with a rain shade, removable flag, has inner side pockets* It REALY is Quick and Easy !!!!! This product really lives up to its name. It took me less than 5 minutes to put it together. I road my 2 children around (combined weight of 50 lbs) for an hour. I was amazed how easy it was to pull them up hills. The quality is outstanding. I am not one to write product reviews. The fact that I am is a statement in and of itself. BUY THIS !!!!! Great buy! Fun to use! Bought this trailer to tow my 2 year old twin boys. It sets up in no time and tows beautifully. The pin used to hold the trailer to the bike is a bit finiky to attach at times but its very secure. The trailer provides plenty of room for both boys. Beware though, once your kids get a taste of the ride, they will want to go all the time so make sure you are in shape. The harness system can be a bit tricky. A quick connect strap would be easier. The locking hook attachments are sometimes difficult to snap but they are adequate. The whole thing folds flat so its easy to store for trips or winter storage. A great buy at less than $80! Quick N Easy 100% I love this bike trailer!!. I purchased it on sale for $69.00 and I will tell you that is a great price!!! This bike trailer took me less than 5 minutes to put together. It is not flimsy or cheaply made. It is very durable. Brightly colored and well designed. It folds to compact and the wheels pop off at a click of a latch. You dont have to work at it to get the trailer to compact. A++++ Worth every dollar even at full price. What a great buy! by: Anonymous On: 2004-04-28 I thought this was a great buy! I had looked at many trailers, from the top of the line Burley to everything else. Quite frankly, I couldnt see much difference between this one and the more expensive models. I think it may be a little tight for two kids, but it would work as long as they are each 50 lbs or less. The only thing I was worried about was if the bottom would be sturdy enough for little feet that kick, but I think it will be okay. This is very light--I was surprised on how easy it was to pull behind my bike. I had expected something much heavier. Also, Pacific Cycle has a wonderful website--I had contacted them about a couple of things, like getting replacement parts, or if I wanted to add on the stroller part (that doesnt come with it), and I recieved an answer by the next day. After a price adjustment because it was on sale after we bought it, it ended up costing us $69.00. What more could you ask for? My 18 month old daughter loves it--she sings as we go along and is happy as a lark. I coudnt be more pleased:) Awesome trailer!!!!!! Before two kids, My husband and I loved to bike. With our first child we got a Rhode Gear seat. I thought it was quite difficult to balance especially taking corners and getting off and on the bike. I just purchased the Instep trailer (because we have two kids) at Target for $69 and couldnt be happier. I truly was so easy to put together the hardest part was putting the coupler on the wheel of my bike and that only took about 5 minutes. My kids loved riding in it and I loved pulling them. I only wish that I purchased this two years ago instead of the bike seat. Wonderful! I love this trailer! It was easy to put together and it folds flat to be stored out of the way. My 7 month old son falls asleep in it almost before we leave the driveway and he is just not usually a napper at all! I can even use it to bike to the store, since the two-seater allows room for my son and two paper grocery sacks. This was a great investment. Great Buy!! by: Anonymous On: 2003-05-29 Bought this on sale at Target for $79.00. Saw other bike trailers at bicycle stores for around $300. Easy to assemble, and easy to use. If you are a recreational rider, dont buy a more expensive one, as this model is all you need. My 2 year old daughter loves the ride, and now doesnt feel left out when I take her older brother bike riding. Great for a bike ride My husband and I love to bike ride and when we had our first little girl we had to put it on hold for awhile. But since we have purchased this bicycle trailer we are loving it. It is extremely safe with the 5 point harness system and our little one loves it!! What a great buy too. |
