China made wheel looks good, sort of a matte finish silver with ss spokes, spins true. I always disassemble a new hub and do a little preventative maintenance (make sure theres sufficient lubricant) and didnt see anything wrong. I put it on an 80s Bridgestone Kabuki road bike that I use for training so the price was right. On: 2006-05-25
Good quality rim thats made in China (not professional level by any means, but good for a consumer level wheel). For its price it was an excellent value. The rim on my wheel had a nick in the edge when I received it appearantly from the machine that builds the wheel. Basically it was a cosmetic issue although I had to remove the shard that was sticking up and smooth the nick with a touch of sandpaper so it wouldnt turn my tire to hamburger. After mounting the tire the nick on the rim was not even cosmetic since it was esentially invisible.
The wheel was slightly different than pictured.
