Great Helmet     On: 2007-01-07

I commute year-round on my bike, nothing too long but in all types of weather. This helmet is a welcome addition to my commuter kit. (old Trek 930, rigid Surly fork, SKS P65 fenders, cateye lights front and rear, vetta wireless computer, innova studded tires for winter, IRC metro slicks for summer).

First off, the fit is great. The helmet feels "deeper" than my old one and the dial system in the back is really nice and precise. Surfaces on the edge of the helmet that would normally be bare foam have been rubberized for I assume, enhanced abrasion resistance.

I purchased the helmet with the accessory kit which included the mirror, rain cover, and flasher. The flasher is a Blackburn Mars light, which uses seven LEDs and includes amber lenses on either side, for added visibility. Ill be picking up the winter kit soon to complete the helmet. The rain cover offers full coverage and has reflective surfaces printed on the outside.
