Anyone looking to invest in precision optics owes it to themselves to consider Smiths. Designed for smaller to medium faces (people who usually have trouble finding great glases that fit well) the Theory frame is composed of an ultra lightweight nylon that, while be extremely flexible, maintains its shape in a variety of conditions. The nose and ear pads are a hydrophilic soft rubber, meaning that they ctually stick better while sweating or while participating in water sports. Even on sale the price may seem a bit steep to some but since it includes 3 sets of lenses its like getting 3 different sunglasses. There is also a plethora of additional lenses available from authorized Smith retailers (I recently added the Dielectric Blue lens to my collection). The lenses themselves are composed of a high-pressure injection molded polycarbonite which is impact and shatter resistant. The lens shape is also thinner near the temples to minimize light refraction. The soft carrying case does a good job of protecting the glasses and has small pockets to carry two additional sets of lenses allowing you to be prepared as conditions and needs change.
