front derailleur does not work     On: 2008-02-18

We werent expecting perfection for the price, but the bike has some non-functioning components. The front derailleur will not shift out of low gear. No amount of force will pull hard enough to make the shift, something gets jammed up in the shift cable/shifter. The cable shredded and needed to be replaced (not working after replacement either). The derailleur can be operated by hand through all the gears. No amount of adjustment (range adjusters, cable tension, etc.) will fix it. The shifter just seems incapable of generating enough force to make the shift or something jams in the cable/shifter when under tension. Arranging for a return.
Poor quality tire     On: 2007-09-03

I have been riding the bike only a couple times, and just found out yesterday that the front tire tube was leaking! Same problem happened with my husbands(we purchased them at the same time). I am very disappointed with Jeep products.
Biggest Bang for the Buck!     On: 2007-08-15

Im a 5 2" female and wasnt sure whether to go with the 24" or the 26". I guessed right with the 24". I only needed something to play on occasionally on weekends and didnt want to invest in a Trek until I found out whether Ill be riding enough to warrant the expense.

About the bike:

Assembly -
So simple a girl can do it!

What I like -
I love the size & styling! The suspension is what sold me on this bike. The graphics were a little different than the bike pictured which was better for me because mine had nautical depth charts - how cool is that!! It fits my lifestyle and personality perfectly.

What I dont like -
It falls out of gear unless Im in the highest gear. It wasnt a problem on the test run since thats where I usually ride. Its an easy fix if youre even slightly mechanically inclined.

Overall, I gave it the highest rating because its an excellent bike for a great price. Like I said, "Its the biggest bang for the buck!"

Real review of bike, not of shipping or ordering problems     On: 2007-04-26

First off - people need to get a clue and review the product, not their ignorance. Someone gave this bike a low rating because he did not know what is was he ordered??? DOH!

OK - the bike. We received this bike for my sons birthday. I decided not to assemble it for him but to let him be part of the process. So I can state with confidence... so simple a 12 year old can do it.

The bike is very well made, arrives neatly packaged and assembles VERY quickly. The most difficult part is attaching the peddles. The threads are designed to hold the peddle tightly (a good thing) and require a bit of muscle to get them securely anchored (a good thing).

The components are well made, the frame is nicely welded and it has a great paint job on it. 15 minutes after extracting it from the box, the tires were inflated and my son was riding around with a big grin on his face! He has had it now for about 3 weeks and it is still a great item; so I am confident that it will hold up for the long haul. If not - I will update my review.

Buy this bike with confidence. It is a well made bike. Ignore those reviews from people who do not know how to write reviews and rate products.
Easy to put together. Good value.     On: 2007-01-16

I bought two bikes from Amazon, and this one was WAY better than the other. It was easy to put together and the shifting worked well without having to adjust anything. It is very heavy-duty and I think my son will get several years of use out of it. The only thing I would suggest is to get a deraileur protector. That is a "V" shaped piece of metal that goes over the deraileur and protects it when your kids drops his bike (which my kid does a lot). If you dont know much about bikes, have your local shop put it together for you. They will probably only charge $25-$30 and will adjust the brakes properly as well as the gears if necessary.
Inventory problems     On: 2006-12-30

I had a similar problem like one of the other reviews about bike sizing. I ordered this bike for Christmas and when it showed up it didnt match the picture or model number on the webpage and it was actually a boys bike. Needless to say I sent it back and requested they send me the bike that matches the photo and model number. The second bike arrived and it was the very same bike I had just shipped back. I spoke with a very helpful person at Amazon, Jared V., and he looked into the matter and it turns out there is a discrepancy with the warehouse. So rather than try for a 3rd time, I selected a different model which should be arriving today. Amazon was helpful with the whole process and even upgraded my shipping for free. Id recommend choosing a different bike so you dont have to go through the trouble of receiving something other than what you ordered.
Wrong Size Bike recieved twice     On: 2006-11-11

We ordered the 24 inch bike for our son and recieved the 26 inch version, twice. Customer service was helpful but we had to return the bike twice and finally recieved a refund.
Not for Big People     On: 2005-11-16

Do not buy this bike if you are a bigger adult. I made that mistake. I did not happen to notice that it has 24 inch wheels. I would recommend that you be a shorter or young adult if you are considering buying this bike. The bike is of great quality though. I went and purchased the 26 inch version after I returned the 24 inch and I could not be happier with it. Looks and rides smooth. The only reason for the 3 stars and not 5 was the sizing issue.
