Super Cute     On: 2008-06-10

The title of these review comes straight from the packaging of this product and I must say it is "Super Cute!" So, I had been eyeing up this bike forever. No one ever had it locally and Amazon was out of stock for a while on it. The when they had it back in stock you had to pay for shipping. I held out more and at the time of this review there was free shipping like they had offered in the past. So when UPS delivered it, it comes in this huge heavy hello kitty decked out box unassembled. I had tried to assemble it, but gave up after a half hour of getting no where with it. So I had to go to bike shop pay 40 bucks and have them assemble it. Then, because it is HUGE they couldnt stick it in the back of my jetta with the two back seats down. The guy had to remove the front wheel to squeeze it in. It wasnt hard getting the wheel back on at home, but if you ever wanted to take it with you, you would definitely need a bike rack.

So far the review sounds burdensome and not worth it, however once I had the bike assembled I must say that I am truly impressed by it. There is so much attention to detail. The bike seat is even embroidered, and it comes with a cute little bell all with hello kitty on it. Even the wheels have hello kitty treads on them. The company nirve also sends touch out paints just in case.

Riding it, you really need a flat surface because it is a cruiser. But thats why its awesome. The handle bars are aligned almost like a chopper so its easy to ride one handed and just relax while riding. Its also nice in that there are hand and foot brakes. The ride itself is so smooth. Its funny but you do "turn heads" with this bike if thats the kind of thing your into.

All in all, I love this bike. Its fun, cute (I mean "super cute") and has great quality. Just keep in mind that it is way larger than the little photo on amazon allows (for example, on the frame where the hello kitty is painted I cant clasp my one hand around it and touch my fingers together)
Best Bike I ever had...     On: 2007-09-11

I had this bike in the blue color and loved every inch of it from the Hello Kitty tred on the tires, to the seat, to the Hello Kitty bell on the handlebars. It was stolen from me right out of my driveway and I was devistated, Im a Hello Kitty collector and this was my best item I had. I have yet to this day been able to find another blue one, but the pink is just as cool. I had soo many compliments on that bike. Im ordering another and keeping and eye on it this time.
Hellllo Cruiser!     On: 2007-07-10

I almost settled for a cheaper cruiser, thinking that any old pink bike would make me happy. Not so! The Nirve bike is great quality and has wonderful detailing & styling. The other bike I was looking at did have a more attractive price tag, but it was disposable and had questionable breaks. I will adore my HK cruiser for years to come, on the bike path at home and at the beach.
That said, you have to like cruising...you cant just change gears when you have to go up a hill...it takes a bit of effort, but its worth the work out. Your thighs will thank you.
Having a dirtbike and scooter, Ive gotten used to hand breaking and thought I would have trouble transitioning back to the pedal break, but it was...just like riding a bike.
Its even more impressive close-up! You are not paying for some cheap hello kitty decal sticker, its a part of the great paint job.
overpriced     On: 2007-01-16

The bike is nice but about $200 over priced. You can buy a Nerve ladies cruiser at the local bike shops for around $250. The fancy paint job prices this one around $400 and the $90.00 to deliver it from one city away really made this bike over priced. I dont know why Target doesnt just stock this item to make it a more reasonable purchase?
Not to mention the touch up paint leaked out of the bottles. That leads me to believe the bike is manufactured in China. Having worked in a paint lab for 12 years I know very well the problems of air-shipping paints & coatings.
If I had to do it again....most likely NOT! I found many nicer bikes for the money at a local expensive specialty bike store.
Also the "ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL" basket I purchased on Amazon does NOT FIT!!! The bracket that goes over the goose neck is TOO small. Had to Dremel it out and some of the cheap chrome plating pealed off in the process.
Fun to ride and looks great too!     On: 2006-09-04

This classically styled one-speed cruiser bicycle is beautifully made with great Hello Kitty detailing from the two-tone pink paint and Hello Kitty logos on the sides and rear fender to the Hello Kitty logo tire treads on the white-wall tires. The manufacturer, Nirve, has done a great job on this bike. The tires are large and make riding easy on any type of surface, and the seat (with the Hello Kitty logo on it as well) is ample and has a great suspension so even riding on bumpy roads or trails are comfortable. The high handlebars keep you positioned upright for a very comfortable ride and the bike itself is quality-made and durable enough for a very long life for both an adult rider or a youth. Also of note is the included Hello Kitty bell which has a nice classic ring to it. Ive gotten so many compliments on this bike, and seeing it makes a lot of people smile, so its really fun to ride around town. The only thing that took some getting used to was having the brakes on the pedals since Im so used to the hand brakes, but after two rides it was second-nature. I highly recommend this bike!
