![]() Bike-O-Vision Cycling DVD #5 Yosemite & 49'ers Gold Country Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 5 More Information Lots of variety Never a boring ride! Gorgeous scenery and enough variety to keep you watching while you spin. I listen to my own music since I like to spin to rock, disco, and dance tunes. However, the music on these DVDs makes for great listening and it goes nicely with the landscape. I play it when Im warming up, cooling down, and even when about the house. The virtual rides on these DVDs cant be beat. No distracting "other riders" or graphics; just beautiful scenic roads to navigate and enjoy. Really makes you feel that you are in the virtualized location - which is the point. love the scenary, but not the music 5 stars for the scenary/2 stars for the music. The background music is (very pleasant) classical music. If you want to buy this DVD to exercise to (like I did), you probably will not want to exercise to classical music. Ideally, there would be no music (just the sounds of nature). Having said that, one can simply turn the sound down or off. Ken Fagan Traducteur Droit Immobilier www.droit-immobilier-traduit.com Great Visuals for my Indoor Cycling! Im an avid cyclist and workout indoors when the weathers bad. The video is a great compliment to my indoor cycling workouts because the "forward-motion" views keep you wanting to push ahead instead of sit there or slack off. I have all fourteen dvds and use them daily. Best investment Ive made other than my stationary bike. There are so many different scenic rides I never get bored. UPDATE: I got the 2005 version of this dvd ride which I loved, so I went back and just got the 2007 updated version that came out this December advertised on their website - which is even better than the first! Great Video for cycling workouts Great Video! I have the entire set of fourteen videos and use them for daily cycling workouts. There are so many scenic rides youll never get bored again! Perfect for its purpose I have this and Bike-O-Visions California Coast. Both are excellent when I want to put some time in the saddle on a cold Minnesota winters day. Someone else complained and said she bought her husband a Chris Carmichael dvd instead. I have those too, and some Spinervals, and they are great for their intended purpose - a tough work-out and/or a work-out focused on improving one or more aspects of your cycling fitness or skills. But when I want to bike through some gorgeous California countryside on a sunny California day, I put a Bike-O-Vision in. Fun and enjoyable ride...while still in my basement! I recently purchased the "Yosemite" DVD to use while getting ready for biking season here in central Minnesota. I totally enjoy the video, the beautiful music and the lack of distracting "coaching", commentary and pop-ups that are found in the other DVDs I use for bike training. (I also appreciate not have to look at the virtual riders backside all through the DVD.) I would like to see more of the great parks, like Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain and the Blue Ridge added to the series, but this is a great start! |
