This thing is really loaded with features - large padded main compartment (U zipper), medium top compartment (side zip only), small rear (top zip) with reflective tape and then the bungees on top (quick stash for a jacket). Then theres a grab handle on the front (the side which faces your butt, you cant see it in the picture) IT ALSO INCLUDED A SHOULDER STRAP for off bike use - not in the item description but packaged inside the bag - a nice touch for off bike use. There are attachment points on the front and rear of the top compartment for the strap which is good except when the U-Zip is open (Might have been better to put the trailing attache on the lower part of the bag rather than the lid.)
All zippers are silent pull type (so they wont rattle) Padding on the main compartment means that it will hold its shape and also keep my lunch cold.
I can easily see using this off bike as a quick cooler for picnics and short excursions.
About the only features it doesnt have are 1) Water resistant but not water proof. Not an issue since I dont plan to ride in any downpours. 2) No key loop - easy enough to remedy - whoops - turns out there is a key loop in the small back pocket. Wow.
There are lots of coupon codes out there for Nashbar stuff and with seasonal sales I lucked out and was able to get it for twelve plus shipping. After seeing it in person Id definitely be willing to pay at least twice that.

OK, not great but for the price its about what you expect. Would be better if the clips for the shoulder strap were attached on the main body instead of the lid. In shoulder bag mode it is difficult to access the main compartment with the strap clipped to the lid, easy to dump everything out.

this bag is a good size and zippers work well. Ive only had it one month, but so far its been great. It only has one outside pocket; a couple more would be nice, but for $18.99, its a very good deal.
