![]() Nashbar Waterproof Wedge By: Nashbar Average Rating: 3.0 Total Reviews: 1 More Information Basic needs storage I ordered this item to replace a much larger pack that I had on the back of my GT MTB. The size of this bag is not too bad. It is a little smaller than I expected. This is my first order of this type of equipment/accessory bag, so excuse me if I state something that is common knowledge about these types of bags as I was not aware of it when I ordered this one. This bag secures itself to the seat post, and bottom seat brackets by velcro strap. This seems efficient to hold it in place while empty. I have not put it to the test yet by loading the bag. However, the bag does not go on and remove easily. So if you are looking for a bag that you can put on and take off in a snap this is not it. That is what I was looking for, unfortunately. The bag opens in this strange way. It opens and closes through a serious of folding and overlapping flaps. The bag also opens from the rear. To use an analogy, imagine a paper bag. Lay the paper bag on the side so that the opening is facing you. This is how this bag appears in the open state. To close the paper bag and keep things inside from rolling or flying out the opening, you would need to fold the opening shut. This is how this bag is in the closed state, except they give you some velcro, and plastic release snaps to hold this closed. That way it should not slide open while riding your bike. I would not trust small items in this bag. Or anything that might have a chance of getting lost when you open it. Overall the construction of the bag seems durable, I will find out by the end of the summer. So the material used to make it seems like good construction, I dont like the opening of the bag, how it secures to the bike, and I dont like the feeling of loosing something because of the way the bag opens. |
