It does the trick.     On: 2007-10-19

I bought this fender because it matched the Apex one I already had for the rear wheel of my mountain bike. I commute and this bike gets me to the train station rain or shine. I am happy to report that the one time I rode this bike in a drizzle with puddles on the street in suit pants and dress shoes mind you I did not get a drop on me from what the front tire kicked up. I watched with absolute joy as the water collected and drained in a controlled manner down the bottom of the fender exactly as I had hoped for. The big test was ridding it through a puddle about an inch deep. The fender did its job but it would be advisable to pick your feet up as to remove them from getting wet because I figure no fender would protect you as such a low point. Over all I consider myself a picky person when it comes to the degree to which the average product satisfies my needs. That said I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend. Though one note; if you are style conscious this fender lacks in that department. There are other ones that look a lot cooler but lets be honest... the only cool fenders on anything are the ones on your grandpas 1950 Studebaker and even then only him and his buddies think it looks cool. So two thumbs up... Thats my two cents...
