Pretty good     On: 2009-07-27

The lock is in a good quality one and so is the wrap around, but still seems like it could be broken if someone really tried.
Aluminum Keys     On: 2009-07-02

Does anyone know if this lock comes with aluminum keys. There seems to be millions of aluminum keys out there when you want a new key made and I have broken off the key in the lock as the aluminum is so flimsy. China once again is putting junk in our stores and the store owners are looking to make a quicker bigger buck.
Use with another lock!     On: 2009-02-05

I only use this lock to secure my front wheel which is a quick release wheel. I needed something light along with my U lock to secure my bike in these mean NYC streets... Anyways, its great if youre not securing your bike with this alone, i normally have 3 different locks when securing outside of my school because i leave it there all day while im in class. Thieves tend to be lazy, so the more you have the more unwilling they are to break through them. Unless of course youre bike is worth all that work. Wish the cable was shorter and beefed up the lock a bit but oh well. You get what you pay for.
Bell Key 'N Go Steel Cable Padlock for Bike     On: 2008-10-06

While this obviously is a very well known brand and is a quality product Bell has failed to provide a well made lock it seems the shakle is thin and easily cut with a bolt cutter or some other tool however the body of the lock is hardened steel case which stands up to punnishment like dropping etc, I replaced this lock with a better quality lock that I know I can trust, the steel cable is very good
Works For What We Need     On: 2008-09-08

We were looking for a relatively fair priced bike lock that would keep our bikes protected while we were away from them. Decided on purchasing this lock and so far we have not been disappointed. The chain is thin, but not so thin it looks like it could snap. The lock feels fairly heavy and sturdy.

As with every lock and chain, it typically only keeps the honest thieves away. If someone wants to get your bike with this lock on it, Im sure they will.
Great Value     On: 2008-09-01

This chain and lock are a great value for what you get. This I feel would stop most thieves from taking my cheap bike, as it is not worth the trouble.
I love it.     On: 2008-07-31

I had no idea what type of lock to buy for my bike. Reading a ton of Amazon.com reviews, I came to the conclusion that if anyone wants your bike that bad, theyll find a way to bust your lock. I felt a little more confident with this one because I read a lot of reviews that mentioned someone taking a hammer to the locks with a combanation and getting away with their bikes. Hopefully this one will keep my bike safe. I feel good about it. It is a heavy one though so if that is a concern you may want to look for another one. This one works for me though. I would recommend this to anyone.
Good length     On: 2008-05-27

Good lock, although the lock itself feels flimsy because of the plastic cover. The cable is a good length. I use it to secure two bikes to a bike rack and am able to go through the body and front rims of both.
Good theft deterrent     On: 2007-12-28

This should not be considered a standalone lock for a high risk area, but it is a quick and handy way to make your bike a little less attractive to steal. The ease of use ensures that it will get used frequently, and any lock has to be better than nothing at all.

My preferred use for this lock is as a backup for a good U-lock. With both locks, the bike looks fairly unfriendly for carrying away, and it allows you to lock the front wheel without removing it, which I find quite a pain.
Good cable, heavy lock     On: 2007-11-07

This is a handy lock for your bike, except that the lock is very heavy to carry around. The cable is long enough to lock the bike with most things you can find at home, work or park. It comes with a spare key to save you if you lost the key somewhere. An improvement I would like to see is to hold the key in the lock when the lock is open.

I wouldnt depend on any kind of cable bike-lock for overnight protection. There is always chance that someone can cut a cable.
Cheap. Works. Not secure!     On: 2007-08-15

Its better than nothing, but do realize that the cable can be compromised with relatively little effort (Im told thieves simply insert two metal rods in one of those small loops and twist in opposite directions).
VERY NICE!!!
