plastic hooks!

Well, one of the main reasons I bought this item was because of the seemingly shiny metal hooks on the back, but when I received them, guess what the hooks are really made of... yes, plastic. So if youre not planning to carry big, heavy stuff, this bag would actually be a very good buy

These are alright

These panniers were an impulse buy because I could get them shipped to me overnight for a longer bike ride coming up. When they arrived they were a bit smaller than I had expected. I would also recommend someone to buy waterproof panniers, which these are not. It only has the main pouch and a pocket in the lid, so finding things on the road is a pain.
The system it uses to attach to your bike is very simple, so if thats what youre looking for, great. However, this system entails two clips to hold the panniers on my back rack and sometimes one of them will fall off leaving my pannier hanging by one.
Would I recommend these panniers? No. Would I recommend panniers in general? Yes (that is why I gave it 3 stars). It sure beats wearing a backpack and having a huge sweat stain on your back all day :)

Good quality at an attractive price. Somewhat small carrying capacity but that is exactly what I wanted for my light touring of 2 - 3 days.
They fit my rack well (Topeak)and remain secure at speed.
Purhased the optional rain covers which fit nicely and are a bit expensive at $20.00 but are a nice option.

Work well, spacious

I have used these for 6 months or so biking to work (2-3 x week). They have held up well and have plenty of room. I can usually use just one, but when I have a lot to carry use both.
