pretty good     On: 2007-09-17

Overall Im happy but it has 3 definate shortfalls
1st no strap on back for taillight
2nd main compartment could be bigger
3rd zipper lets rain right through, everything gets soaked
for 50 bucks for a rack and pack, it beats wearing a backpack for commuting!
Just plain works     On: 2007-08-01

Bag attaches with large velcro pads and 2 straps. The pack quickly and easily detaches. Big enough to fit plenty of tools, clothes, food, water.
Lived out of this bag for two weeks     On: 2006-11-26

Cycling in the Alps, self-supported. I used only this rack and bag, and a fanny pack. Recommended you get bungee cords and a waterproof cover but otherwise this rig is absolutely perfect. I tightened the bolts every day just to be safe. The bag holds an amazing amount -- as long as you are willing to wash your clothes every day this is all youll need for your trip.
Did not have quick-release mounting as advertised     On: 2006-11-08

A great rack system and the QuickBag is very useful. All components are well designed and fabricated; however, the bolt-on clamp assembly that was provided is designed to fit around a smaller seatpost than my new Giant bike and I have some concern about deforming the seatpost due to the pinch-points of the bolt-on clamps. The pictures and description of the combo item specify a quick-release seatpost mount but I received a bolt-on clamp assembly. I will contact Amazon customer service to see what can be done to get the quick-release mounting system.

The quickbag easily doubles as carry on for air lines. However I think it put my center of gravity too high and was the cause of a recent bicycle crash when I hit a slight deviation in the road. The crash caused a broken pelvis. I have traveled many thousands of miles around the world by bike and have never had a crash. Until I bought the Delta Maga Rack Post and Quickbag I had used panniers which are much lower. However the bicycle I was using was not equiped for a rack and panniers.
