For the price it simply cannot be beat!

This pedal does an excellent job for the price, and unless you are going to be competing in races every weekend or are constantly in mud, I would make the argument that these pedals are all most bikers would ever need. They have a standard tension adjustment just like other pedals.....nothing special, just a pedal which has the basics and does them well.

These have the same look and feel of pedals made by Ritchey many years ago. I am not sure if Nashbar bought the rights to make this pedal from Ritchey, but the design looks like a mirror image of Ritchey pedals which cost $100 about ten years ago.

One downside I could mention is the fact that the paint scrapes off easily.....but to a true mountain biker, will he/she really care about that?;-)
