![]() Chrysler PT CruiserTurbo 7 Women's Cruiser Bike By: PT Cruiser Average Rating: 4.0 Total Reviews: 15 More Information Walter P. Chrysler would turn in his grave Walter Chrysler would turn in grave if he saw what global economy did to his name: Stickered to Made in China by Bicycle Source Inc. Chrysler generic bike made from bent water pipes. It does require work to assemble and tune. Be prepared to do it or to pay for tune-up or your ride will be heavy from unadjusted bearings, misaligned breaks. I have to say though that for the money ($150), its good deal. Bike comes with fenders, chain shield, even the bell. Not too heavy. Bar is exaggerated, could be smaller. Very good bike for the price by: Anonymous On: 2007-05-13 Bought this for my wife who has arthritis and has trouble swinging her leg over most bike bars. This one solved the problem. It came partially enough assembled that it was very easy to complete. I saw some reviews that complained about the gear adjustment and instructions but this seemed no different than any other 6 or 7 gear derailer Ive had. In fact, I used the instructions to readjust my Schwinn bike - worked great. Only drawback are the flame decals. Easily removed but the residual adhesive seems particularly difficult to remove. The Below Poster shouldnt post reviews by: Anonymous On: 2007-03-15 I bought the mens version of this bike and it is Superb. I get tons of compliments about it so I went and bought my girl the female version (this one). She said it is the best bike she ever owned. Maybe the below troller ought to break down and go to a bike shop and spend the 25 dollars to assemble it right instead of bad mouthing a good product because she does not know how to assemble it or let the brakes wear in properly. BTW everything comes from China now even the keyboard you typed your scathing review on. Take the rest of our word for it this bike is well worth the $$$$$ and alot of FUN! They're from China by: Anonymous On: 2007-03-02 I looked for a bike that wasnt made in China but in the USA, and sure enough (because I couldnt find where it came from anywhere) when it came in it came from China. The bike arrived with some assembly required that took me 4 hours. Hope you have a good set of allen wrenches and know what youre doing? Forget the instructions book and throw it away, cause its a laugh! After assembly the brakes were rubbing and the 7 speed shimano gear kept making several clicking noises in low gear. I still cant quite get them adjusted. The worst of all was the handlebars. I felt that they were too wide and not that solid, and you felt as if they were turning or bending in your hands as you rode so that you couldnt get a comfortable, solid ride. After a while riding the bike wore us out! I rode bikes all my life, and with this one I found myself zig zagging. It is NOT comfortable! I dont see what all these others who write here see in it? For the price I expected something better made and far more comfortable than this. Now Im sorry I didnt spend the money on something we had our eye on in a bike shop and tried out first. My other bike comes in tomorrow. Well see. Very cool by: Anonymous On: 2007-02-25 This was for my girl friends Birthday and it was a big hit she loved it. Very nice bicycle. Cruiser is a Winner! by: dsmiley6 On: 2007-02-01 This bike will not disappoint. It looks very slick and is solid feeling mechanically. The fenders flame paintjob was a bit much for my wife, so I removed with the beautifully engineered thumbscrews provided for quick and convenient removal/attachment. (and damn if it doesnt look even cooler sans fenders!) I have since had many occasions when my wife starts pulling away from me (which was never the case) and is actually setting the pace. Definitely has taken her "cruising" to a new level. You are paying a premium, no doubt, but this beautiful machine is worth every penny. Great bike. by: apatrick13 On: 2007-01-30 The PT cruiser is a great bike, very comfortable, gears work well. The assembly was a bit problematic though. The factory had placed the fender attachment pieces on the wrong fender so that the attachment piece on the rear fender was too short. Once this was corrected, everything was OK. PT Cruiser Bike-Great Bike/Bad Support by: Anonymous On: 2007-01-28 I really love this bike. It was a great buy for the price and everyone that sees it thinks it rocks. The directions to put it together are terrible and if you need on line help forget it. I had some damage to a couple of plastic nuts and a major scratch and tried repeatedly to get the parts from Bicycle Source Group without success. Its really hard to get the fenders and brakes aligned so the tires dont rub. If you are mechanically adept you can figure it out but for the rest of you, hire someone!!!! A nice bike by: annettbill On: 2007-01-04 The bike is very nice, It was very easy to put together. The paint job looks good. I would buy this product again. Wonderful bike by: Anonymous On: 2006-04-25 It came very quickly (two days or so), and it was not so complicated to assemble. It took half an hour to have the gear work properly - I was first doing things randomly but then I used the manual and it works much faster! That bike is very comfortable, no back ache, the mudguards are very large, and it is very nice. I use it every day to go to work and also just for fun and it is perfect. flashy STICKERS are not a PAINT JOB by: miranda1222 On: 2006-04-19 I just received the bike after eyeing it for months, and was totally let down to find that the "flashy paint job with red and yellow flames" in the item description is not even a paint job whatsoever. The bike is actually painted black and pearl, with flame STICKERS for the graphics. I was too cheap to spring for an Electra- they all look like theyve been custom painted. I thought this bike fit the bill, and although it looks like itll be a good ride, Im peeling off the cheesy stickers. They remind me of the flame themed sticker sheets included with hotwheels racetracks... this is definitley not the "Flashiest PT Cruiser paint job youve ever seen!" (from item description) PT Cruiser Bike by: Anonymous On: 2006-03-08 This is a really cool product and when all the issues are resolved it is fun to ride. The problems are that it arrived requiring adjustments to the gears so they would all engage and I had to take it to a local bike shop to get it adjusted properly. Also had a couple of items that had to be replaced and they were excellent in responding to those issues. The assembly instructions were beyond pathetic into the realm of ridiculous. You are pretty well on your own and I suggest you throw the instructions into the trash so as not to confuse yourself. I love the bike but they need to improve the assembly instructions and test the bikes for shifting properly before they crate them up. Chrysler PT Cruiser Bike by: gppartners On: 2006-02-24 Wonderful value! It arrived much sooner than promised, was well-packed and in good condition, and was almost completely assembled (which is a Good Thing because the instructions are not good). It is exactly the kind of bike I wanted. Nice cruiser by: ushioka On: 2006-02-20 Got this with the 2-days shipping option and it arrived puctually on the 2nd morning. Bike looks just as I expected. I got it mainly for the cool flames. Assembly was fairly easy, but the instructions are meant for someone who have some basics on assembling a bike and I had someone to help me out. This is my first cruiser and I find it quite comfortable to ride for short journeys. I was careless when I tried to park my bike on its stand and it fell over. The white paint was scratched off rather easily. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend for anyone who wants a nice bike for just cruising around. PT Cruiser bike by: bhsrulz On: 2006-01-18 Beautiful bike - came partially - mostly unassembled. The chain was totally messed up when we got it. Will have to take it to a repair shop to put chain on! Other than that, I enjoy it! |
