![]() Blackburn MTN-1 Bicycle Rack By: Blackburn Average Rating: 4.5 Total Reviews: 4 More Information Bad pakaging I agree this seems to be a good and sturdy piece of equipment. But, it arrrived and I found that its only defect was a pet peeve of mine....not having all the pieces required for assembly. In this instance it was not having all the nuts for each of the screws required for installation. Luckily, I have a big collection of various sized nuts and bolts and I was able to find two nuts to replace those that Blackburn did not include in their parts bag. For those who do not have a collection of nut and bolts in their basement workroom, it would mean a trip to their local hardware store to buy those they needed. I always admire the maufacturers who include a few more of the nuts, bolts, washers, etc needed for assembly. I guess some feel my complaint is picayunish, but to me it really ticks me off to find that the quality control is so poor as not to be sure to include the right number on nuts in the first place. Nice Product Installed on the bike without problem and looks nice too. It seems to be well built and its very light weight. Still the standard by which others are judged by: Anonymous On: 2006-08-11 Blackburn racks are getting harder to find, but they are still at the top of the pile in terms of build quality and strength / weight. I have had Blackburn racks on a couple bikes over the years and never had a complaint. One is still going strong after 20 years. Highly recommended. Easy to install, light weight, decent construction, & good lookin'... This is a very nice black all-aluminum welded rear rack for mountain bikes. Came with everything I needed to fit onto my 21" frame (w/26" tires) Giant Rincon. It is pannier/basket-ready and some nice features include a built-in plate that acts as a splash-guard and an included bracket for mounting a rear light. This thing is nice n light at less than 1.5 lbs is load-rated at around 30 lbs. It carries a life-time warranty. Easy to install, light weight, decent construction, & good lookin'...
