More Information

I'm an old Beginner, and it worked great!     On: 2008-06-09

This was recommended by my local bike shop owner, and I used two to replace a tube on my adult trike, 24 inch tire. This was my very first repair, at age 48, and it went fine. So I can recommend these to the ladies who like to do it themselves and not wait on a man to come around and help them. Several websites online with how to advice, which helped a lot. Good product!
It takes just one (usually)     On: 2007-08-20

The Quik-Stik is my favorite tire lever. Its light, but sturdy enough that breakage is rare, and all but the stiffest and tightest-fitting tires are easily removed or mounted with only one Q-S. Its not magical; you can still pinch a tube and create a leak (gg). Ive not damaged a bead in many dozens of uses (road, touring, mountain, bent, trike and velomobile wheels in a variety of sizes), but I always use a second lever if the fit is really tight.
Handy, but watch out for your tire bead     On: 2006-06-03

I used this product on an IRC Lovers Soul tire, a decent quality, low-pressure 26" tire for city and street riding. Although the Quik Stik popped the tire off the rim very easily, it mangled the bead. The Quik Stik did make short work of taking the tire off, so I am not opposed to trying the lever on a tire with a different stye bead, however, if you have an expensive set of tires, I would proceed with marked caution.
