Puncture protection with out expensive tires

I purchased these tire liners to help prevent punctures. Where I live there are a lot of goathead thorns and it is a real pain getting flats far from home. I think these liners are lighter than thorn resistent tubes and cheaper than buying expensive tires with kevlar or aramid. I have not had a flat in months. The liner was easy to install and I cant even tell there are in the tires with exception that the setup is a little heavier than normal.
